Doorman

Overview

We are seeking a professional and personable Doorman to join our team at a busy banquet hall. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, managing guest arrivals, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, the ability to handle conflict de-escalation, and a commitment to creating a positive experience for all guests.

Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with entry procedures
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries and needs in a courteous manner
• Manage guest flow and ensure smooth entry and exit processes during events
• Monitor the premises to maintain safety and security standards
• Handle conflicts or disputes with professionalism, employing conflict de-escalation techniques when necessary
• Maintain a neat and professional appearance, representing the venue positively
• Assist with general hall duties as needed to support event operations

Qualifications

• Previous experience in customer service or hospitality is preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
• Skilled in conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques
• Friendly, approachable demeanor with a focus on guest satisfaction
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to the role
• Reliable, punctual, and attentive to detail

Pay: $17.00 - $17.50 per hour

Expected hours: 3.0 – 8.0 per week

Work Location: In person
