Job SummaryThe Senior Application Developer plays a key role in designing and developing innovative software
applications while also enhancing and maintaining existing systems. This position requires a deep
understanding of industry trends and emerging technologies to improve application functionality and
efficiency continually. The Senior Application Developer is tasked with delivering high-quality solutions
that meet business needs and drive operational success.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, and debug sophisticated database-driven applications utilizing C#, WCF, Web API, MVC, Razor, and T-SQL.
• Analyze and troubleshoot existing applications to optimize performance and functionality.
• Research and assess emerging technologies and industry trends to integrate innovative solutions and best practices into the development workflow.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, business analysts, and fellow developers, to gather requirements and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
• Conduct rigorous testing and debugging of applications to deliver high-quality, dependable software solutions.
• Develop and maintain detailed documentation for application designs, coding processes, and system enhancements to support knowledge sharing and future development efforts.
• Provide technical support and guidance to team members and end-users, addressing application-related issues and concerns.
• Engage in project planning, contributing to timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation to facilitate successful project outcomes.
• Mentor and support junior developers, promoting their growth and professional development within the team.
• Monitor application performance and gather user feedback, implementing improvements as necessary to enhance overall user satisfaction.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in software development, focusing on creating software products and services.
• Proven ability to manage the entire software development lifecycle effectively.
• Experience with TFS and Azure DevOps.

Proficient programming skills in C# and T-SQL, with 4-6 years of hands-on experience.

• Familiarity with web services, including SOAP and REST.
• Experience with the latest version of ASP.NET MVC framework utilizing Razor syntax.
• Proficient in the latest version of jQuery and .NET Core.
• Experience with Azure and Vue.js is a plus.
• Familiarity with Dapper is a plus.
• Strong skills in object-oriented programming and design.
• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to fine tune complex queries.
• Open to learning new technologies and methodologies.
• Committed to delivering high-quality software solutions without compromise.
• Knowledge of common design patterns.
• Knowledge of Visual Basic and Access for legacy application migration is advantageous.
• Experience in the healthcare industry and knowledge of workers compensation is beneficial.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of collaborating effectively across multiple teams.
• Strong documentation skills for planning, creating, tracking, and maintaining software engineering projects.
• Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
