Dot Net Developer

Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Developer to join our offshore team and support Business-as-Usual (BAU) projects focused on upgrading .NET applications, Oracle databases, and server infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in .NET technologies and Oracle databases. This role will be responsible for executing development tasks and ensuring smooth system transitions with minimal business disruption while adhering to quality and compliance standards.

Job Description /Responsibilities:

Technical Execution

• Analyze existing systems to understand the BAU project scope under the guidance of the Technical Lead
• Execute application development based on user stories and technical requirements
• Provide regular status updates on tasks, progress, and outcomes to the Technical Lead
• Manage application source code in Azure DevOps, ensuring proper version control practices (check-in/check-out, conflict resolution)
• Design and execute comprehensive unit testing
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues throughout the project lifecycle
• Prepare deployment plans and environment setup checklists

2. Quality & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to organizational IT policies, security standards, and compliance guidelines

• Deliver BAU projects within defined timelines and agreed schedules

• Follow IOP (Internal Operating Procedures) for all project activities

• Implement and validate:

• Backup strategies

• Rollback procedures

• Disaster recovery plans

• Support risk mitigation to ensure a seamless upgrade process

Technical Skills (Mandatory):

• Strong hands-on expertise in:

• VB.NET, ASP.NET,

• Oracle DB/SQL DB,

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in Windows server administration, virtualization, and cloud/on-prem environments Proficiency in Azure DevOps (task tracking, repository management) .
• YAML for CI/CD pipelines
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Understanding of IT security standards, compliance, and best practices
• Ability to work independently in offshore/onshore collaboration models
• Strong ownership and accountability for deliverables

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft .NET, Oracle, Azure/AWS)
