Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Full-Time Double Weekend Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our compassionate healthcare team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide exceptional patient care during weekend shifts from 6am to 10pm, supporting residents in long-term care, assisted living, and specialized memory care environments. Duties

• Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity
• Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately in compliance with medical documentation standards
• Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper handling and adherence to HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality
• Use patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices to safely move residents between beds, chairs, or wheelchairs
• Maintain infection control protocols through aseptic techniques and proper hand hygiene practices during patient care procedures
• Document all care activities thoroughly in electronic health records (EHR) systems like Epic or eClinicalWorks for seamless communication among healthcare providers
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including nurses, therapists, and physicians to coordinate comprehensive resident care plans

Requirements

• Valid CNA certification with current state licensure required; prior experience working with geriatric patients is highly preferred
• Demonstrated experience in long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, or memory care units; experience with Alzheimer's and dementia care is a plus
• Familiarity with medical terminology, vital signs measurement, medication administration, and basic life support (CPR) certification required
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using proper lifting practices; manual handling skills essential for resident transfers and mobility assistance
• Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with residents who have developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs
• Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks; experience working within hospital or urgent care settings is advantageous
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations; understanding of medical records management and documentation standards
