Doula

We are seeking a compassionate, experienced, and professional full spectrum doula to support expectant individuals or couples throughout pregnancy, labor, and the postpartum period. The ideal candidate will be professional, have an evidence-based knowledge of birth processes, and a passion for empowering individuals through childbirth.

Responsibilities:

• Provide prenatal support and education
• Offer continuous emotional, physical, and informational support during labor and birth
• Assist with comfort measures (e.g., breathing techniques, positioning, massage)
• Help clients advocate for their birth preferences while respecting clinical care providers
• Offer postpartum support and guidance
• Maintain documentation and communicate professionally with families and team members
• Facilitate educational workshops & classses for expectant parents in the community
• Work an on-call rotating schedule
• Complete professional continuing education

Qualifications:

• Certification as a Doula (e.g., DONA, CAPPA, ICEA, or equivalent) (preferred)
• Experience attending at least 3 births (preferred)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable transportation and flexibility to attend births at all hours
• CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Computer savvy with experience using email platforms
• Experience working with an electronic health record system (preferred)

Preferred:

• Experience with diverse family structures and birth settings (hospital, home, birth center)
• Knowledge of lactation support or other specialties

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
