About the role

Cavite Contracting Services Inc. is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Draftsman to join our Design and Architecture team. This is a full-time position based in Imus City, Cavite. As a Draftsman, you will play a crucial role in transforming architectural concepts and designs into precise technical drawings and documentation that guide our construction projects. Your work will be fundamental to ensuring that our projects are executed to the highest standards of accuracy and compliance with building codes and regulations.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing detailed architectural drawings, floor plans, elevations, and sections using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software and other design tools
• Converting preliminary sketches and design concepts provided by architects into comprehensive technical drawings
• Ensuring all drawings comply with relevant building codes, standards, and regulatory requirements
• Coordinating with architects, engineers, and project managers to clarify design intent and resolve technical issues
• Producing construction documentation packages including working drawings, specifications, and construction details
• Revising and updating drawings based on client feedback, design changes, and project requirements
• Maintaining accurate records and managing drawing files and documentation systems
• Assisting with quantity takeoffs and material specifications as required
• Ensuring consistency and quality across all project deliverables

What we're looking for

• Diploma or certification in Architectural Drafting or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, particularly AutoCAD
• Strong knowledge of architectural drawing standards, building codes, and construction practices
• Excellent technical drawing skills with the ability to produce precise and accurate documentation
• Familiarity with architectural conventions and the ability to interpret design drawings
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Good organisational and time management skills to meet project deadlines
• Effective communication abilities and the capacity to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and resolve technical drawing issues
• Preferred: Experience with additional design software such as Revit, SketchUp, or other Building Information Modelling (BIM) tools
• Preferred: Knowledge of building materials, construction methods, and site conditions relevant to the Philippines construction industry
