About the role

Cavite Contracting Services Inc. is seeking a skilled Draftsman to join our Design & Architecture team. This is a full-time position based in Imus City, Cavite. As a Draftsman, you will play a crucial role in translating architectural concepts and engineering designs into precise technical drawings and documentation. Your work will be fundamental to the successful execution of our construction and architectural projects, ensuring that all designs are accurately represented and ready for implementation on site.

What you'll be doing

• Creating detailed architectural and technical drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software and other drafting tools
• Translating architect and engineer specifications into accurate construction drawings and blueprints
• Preparing and maintaining drawing sets for various project phases, including conceptual, schematic, and construction documentation
• Reviewing and revising drawings in response to feedback from architects, engineers, and project managers
• Ensuring all drawings comply with building codes, standards, and regulatory requirements
• Coordinating with architects and engineers to clarify design intent and resolve technical issues
• Organising and filing technical drawings and project documentation in both digital and physical formats
• Assisting in the preparation of construction schedules, material lists, and project specifications
• Participating in design meetings and providing input on technical feasibility and drawing requirements

What we're looking for

• Proficiency in CAD software, particularly AutoCAD or similar architectural drafting programmes
• Strong understanding of architectural drawing conventions, standards and construction documentation practices
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations relevant to construction and architectural design
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate, precise technical drawings
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Solid communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with architects, engineers and construction teams
• A diploma or degree in Architectural Drafting, Architecture, Civil Engineering or a related field
• Proven experience of 2+ years working as a Draftsman or in a similar architectural or engineering drafting role
• Familiarity with building information modelling (BIM) software is highly desirable
• Experience with quantity surveying or cost estimation would be advantageous
