Drafter

ROLE – Draftsperson

SALARY - $80,000 - $100,000 per annum, dependent on experience

TYPE – Permanent

LOCATION – Perth, WA

My client designs and manufactures bespoke equipment. They are looking for a Draftsperson to join their team in Perth on a permanent basis.

The Draftsperson will ideally have the following attributes:

• At least 2 years of experience in a similar Drafting / CAD position
• Relevant qualification in Engineering, Drafting or similar
• Proficient with 2D and 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD or similar
• Experience producing detailed manufacturing drawings and technical documentation
• Strong attention to detail
• Good understanding of engineering drawings
• Ability to interpret engineering concepts and translate them into accurate drawings
• Experience maintaining drawing registers and document control systems
• Able to manage workload and meet deadlines
• Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team

The Draftsperson role will involve:

• Creating 2D drawings and 3D models from engineering concepts
• Producing detailed manufacturing and assembly drawings
• Updating and revising existing drawings and documentation
• Working closely with engineers to support design development
• Liaising with manufacturing teams and external suppliers
• Ensuring drawings comply with relevant standards and specifications
• Maintaining accurate records of drawings and revisions
• Assisting with BOM creation and updates
• Checking drawings prior to release for accuracy and completeness
• Supporting projects across the full design lifecycle
