Drafter

About the role

This role involves preparing detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or other tools. You will translate engineering concepts, sketches, and specifications into accurate technical drawings, including shop drawings, as-built drawings, and construction plans. You will read and draw electrical and mechanical drawings, working closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to understand project requirements and revise drawings based on feedback, site conditions, or design changes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, or other CAD tools
• Translate engineering concepts, sketches, and specifications into accurate technical drawings
• Produce shop drawings, as-built drawings, and construction plans
• Read and draw electrical and mechanical drawings
• Work closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to understand project requirements
• Revise drawings based on feedback, site conditions, or design changes
• Ensure all drawings are aligned with project specifications and timelines
• Ensure drawings comply with local building codes, regulations, and standards
• Organise and maintain drawing records, revisions, and version control
• Assist site team with drawing clarifications and updates

About you

• Proficient in AutoCAD
• Proficient in Revit and BIM tools
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
• Knowledge of construction detailing, layouts, and drawing standards
• Able to read and draw electrical and mechanical drawings
• High attention to detail in all drafting work
