About the role

This role involves interpreting design briefs and client requirements to produce accurate, scaled technical drawings. You will utilize CAD and spatial design software to generate 2D and 3D models, elevations, and detailed schematics, collaborating with the design team to ensure designs are feasible and meet required specifications. You will prepare detailed material lists, cutting schedules, and assembly instructions for production, and provide support to manufacturing and installation teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret design briefs and client requirements to produce accurate, scaled technical drawings
• Utilize CAD and/or equivalent software to generate 2D and 3D models, elevations, and detailed schematics
• Utilize Spacial Design Software (e.g. Miao Hua Kong Jian / MHKJ) to generate cabinetry fabrication drawings
• Collaborate with the design team to ensure designs are feasible and meet required specifications
• Prepare detailed material lists, cutting schedules, and assembly instructions for production
• Provide support to the manufacturing and installation teams to ensure successful project delivery
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, materials, and construction techniques

About you

• Proficient in using CAD software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Revit
• Experience reading and interpreting architectural plans, blueprints, and technical specifications
• Good problem-solving and decision-making skills to address design challenges
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with the design and production teams
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards for the carpentry and cabinet-making trade
• Experience with Spacial Design Software (Miao Hua Kong Jian / MHKJ) is desirable; candidates without this experience but with passion for learning are also welcome
