Job Summary

Prepare accurate HVAC ducting drawings while supporting site coordination and project execution.

Be Part of Our Growth

We are a young, ambitious, and rapidly expanding engineering company going through an exciting period of transformation.

We're not just growing our business — we're building our people along with it.

We're looking for people who are driven, curious, adaptable, and hungry to learn. People who are willing to take ownership, solve problems, and grow beyond their current capabilities.

If you're someone who enjoys new challenges, possibilities, and the opportunity to help shape something bigger, come grow with us.

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically capable Drafter to join our growing site and engineering team.

You will be responsible for preparing shop drawings, layouts, installation details, and as-built drawings for HVAC ducting systems and construction projects.

You will work closely with project engineers, site supervisors, contractors, consultants, and other trades to ensure drawings are accurate, practical, and aligned with project requirements and site conditions.

This role provides valuable exposure to HVAC ducting, construction projects, technical drafting, site coordination, and project execution.
Key Responsibilities

Drafting & Design
Prepare detailed shop drawings for HVAC ducting systems based on project specifications and engineering designs.
Produce layout drawings, sections, and installation details.
Prepare drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, or other relevant drafting software.
Develop and update drawings based on project requirements.

Drawing Coordination
Coordinate ducting drawings with MEP, architectural, and structural layouts.
Identify potential clashes and technical issues.
Liaise with engineers and site teams to resolve drawing and installation issues.
Ensure drawings are practical and suitable for site installation.
Drawing Revision & Documentation
Revise drawings based on client comments, consultant feedback, and site conditions.
Prepare as-built drawings upon project completion.
Maintain proper drawing records and version control.
Ensure drawings and technical documents are properly organised and updated.
Quantity Take-Off & Project Support
Assist with quantity take-offs (QTO) for ductwork and related materials.
Support material estimation for fabrication and installation.
Provide drafting and technical support to project teams.
Update drawings according to project progress and changes.

Site Coordination
Work closely with project engineers, site supervisors, and subcontractors.
Attend site discussions or inspections when required.
Verify site conditions and incorporate necessary changes into drawings.
Support project teams in resolving technical and installation matters.
Quality & Compliance
Ensure drawings are accurate and meet project specifications.
Follow applicable local codes, standards, and project requirements.
Ensure dimensions, layouts, and installation details are clearly presented.
Check drawings before submission or release for construction.

Requirements
Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or related field.
2–5 years of relevant drafting experience, preferably in HVAC, ducting, M&E, or construction.
Experience with commercial, industrial, or residential projects is advantageous.
Proficient in AutoCAD (2D/3D).
Knowledge of Revit / BIM modelling is highly preferred.
Good understanding of HVAC ducting systems and installation practices.
Familiarity with SMACNA, ASHRAE, or relevant local standards is an advantage.
Able to read and interpret engineering, architectural, and technical drawings.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good coordination and communication skills.
Able to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
Strong problem-solving abilities.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Proactive, responsible, and willing to learn.
Adaptable and comfortable working in a growing engineering environment.

Why Join Us?

You will gain hands-on exposure to real HVAC and construction projects, working closely with engineers and site teams from drafting through project execution.

As the company continues to grow, there will be opportunities to expand your technical skills, take on greater responsibilities, and develop your career.

If you're someone who enjoys technical work, solving problems, and seeing your drawings come to life on site, this is an opportunity to grow your drafting career alongside a company with plenty of potential.

If you're driven, curious, and ready to grow with us, we want to hear from you.
