Job Summary

As a part-time Drafter, you will support the design and development process utilizing your mechanical knowledge and CAD expertise in software such as SOLIDWORKS. Working with the engineering team, you will create and update detailed technical drawings and models in accordance with ASME Y14.5 and GD&T standards.

Responsibilities

· Create mechanical, assembly, electrical and/or control drawings to meet specifications utilizing SOLIDWORKS. Create original drawings from hand sketches and CAD models

· Support engineering change requests by updating drawings, models, and related documentation

· Review drawings to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards

· Assist engineers with parts lists, bill of materials (BOMs), cost estimates, and plans & specifications

Qualifications/Skills

· High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience or an Associate Degree or 3 years post-secondary education with a minimum of 1 year of related experience

· Proficiency in drafting and CAD techniques, including the ability to create 2D drawings, assemblies, parts lists/BOMs, with a strong understanding of ASME standards

· Working knowledge of top-down assemblies, assembly mating, exploded views, wire/cable routing, configuration creation and assignment, PDM workflows, and general drawing practices

· Strong attention to detail with the ability to understand and translate engineering intent from sketches, models, and verbal instructions

· Strong organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills with the ability to manage individual responsibilities effectively

· Ability to collaborate with team members while independently managing assigned responsibilities and remaining open to feedback and new ideas

· Experience with Microsoft Office applications

This is a part-time hybrid position requiring one day per week onsite in Rockledge, FL, with flexibility for the remaining work schedule and location.
