Drafter/Application Engineer

Drafter / Application Engineer to support our engineering and project teams in preparing technical drawings, engineering calculations, and project documentation. This role involves assisting in the design, coordination, and execution of electrical engineering projects while ensuring compliance with applicable standards and client requirements.

The ideal candidate should be proficient in AutoCAD, eager to learn, and capable of working in a fast-paced project environment. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply, as training and guidance will be provided to develop the necessary technical and project management skills.

Job Description

Technical & Engineering

• Prepare electrical drawings, Single Line Diagrams (SLD), layouts, schematics, and other engineering drawings using AutoCAD.
• Prepare and revise drawings based on project requirements, site conditions, client comments, and engineering changes.
• Update and maintain drawing revisions, drawing registers, and related technical documentation.
• Prepare load calculations, cable sizing, voltage drop calculations, and other engineering documents.
• Assist in developing technical drawings and design solutions for project requirements.
• Review drawings and ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project specifications and applicable standards.
• Perform technical evaluations and feasibility studies for proposed solutions.
• Ensure drawings and technical documents comply with Malaysian standards, IEC, TNB, Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST), BOMBA, and other relevant requirements.

Proposal & Tender Support

• Prepare drawings, layouts, and technical documents required for quotations, proposals, and tenders.
• Assist in technical clarifications and preparation of technical presentations.
• Revise drawings and documents according to client or consultant comments.

Project Support

• Support project teams during engineering, procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Review shop drawings, material submissions, and engineering calculations.
• Coordinate design changes and drawing revisions throughout project execution.
• Provide updated drawings for site installation and as-built documentation.
• Assist in resolving technical and drawing-related issues arising during project execution.

Client & Stakeholder Coordination

• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project teams regarding drawings and technical matters.
• Attend technical meetings, design reviews, site inspections, and project discussions when required.
• Incorporate comments and feedback from clients, consultants, and project teams into drawings and technical documents.

Requirements

• Certificate/Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/ Mechatronic / Electrical / Electronics / Engineering or equivalent.
• Graduate from Politeknik Malaysia/Institut Kemahiran Belia Negara (IKBN)/Institut Kemahiran MARA (IKM)/ Institut Latihan Kemahiran / Universiti or equivalent.
• At least 1 years of working experience in Mechanical / Mechatronic/ Electrical / Electronics / Engineering or equivalent manufacturing environment.
• Able to prepare/read the part drawings.
• Knowledge/experience in Autocad an advantage.
• Age 25-35 and healthy.

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
