Drafter/Supervisor

Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Drafter/Supervisor to lead our team and oversee the development of precise, high-quality engineering drawings. Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the welding team, providing guidance on CAD and BIM workflows to ensure timely delivery of detailed construction documents
• Develop comprehensive schematics, construction details, and system designs using advanced CAD software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks
• Create precise 2Ddrawings and building information models (BIM) utilizing tools like Revit, Rhino 3D (Rhinoceros 3D), Grasshopper 3D, 3ds Max, and SketchUp for visualization and analysis
• Collaborate with fabricators & welders project managers to interpret design concepts into accurate drawings that meet client requirements and building code compliance
• Conduct building code analysis to ensure all designs adhere to local regulations and safety standards
• Review drafting outputs for accuracy, consistency, and completeness; implement revisions as needed to meet project deadlines
• Maintain organized documentation of all drawings, revisions, and project files.

Requirements

• Proven experience in construction detail documentation, engineering CAD design, or related drafting roles with a strong portfolio of completed projects
• Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, SolidWorks highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of BIM tools for creating detailed models that facilitate coordination across disciplines
• Ability to lead a team effectively while managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and convey technical information clearly
• Fabrication experience is preferred to better understand practical application of drawings in real-world settings
• Familiarity with graphic design principles, system design processes, interior design concepts or mechanical design is a plus
