Drafting Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Drafting Technician to join our engineering team. In this role, you will convert conceptual designs, rough sketches, and engineer notes into accurate technical drawings and models using industry-standard software. You will work closely with engineers, project managers, and shop-floor personnel to ensure all blueprints meet technical, safety, and manufacturing specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and update detailed production drawings and models using SolidWorks.
• Prepare clear bills of materials (BOMs), cut lists, part numbers, and technical documentation.
• Review engineering redlines, field notes, and project changes to revise existing drawings accurately.
• Ensure all drawings comply with company drafting standards, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and industry codes.
• Collaborate to resolve design conflicts and support fabrication feasibility.
• Maintain organized digital drawing files, revision histories, and project archives.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of SolidWorks
• Technical Skills: Ability to read blueprints, understand material specifications, and apply basic math, geometry, and trigonometry.
• Soft Skills: High attention to detail, strong time-management skills, and clear verbal/written communication.
