Job Title: MEP & Civil Draftsman

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced MEP & Civil Draftsman with strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in preparing detailed drawings for Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP), and Civil works. The ideal candidate must be proficient in AutoCAD, able to interpret engineering drawings, and capable of coordinating with engineers, consultants, and site teams to ensure accurate and timely preparation of drawings.

Job Responsibilities (JD)

• Prepare detailed 2D shop drawings, working drawings, and construction drawings for both Civil and MEP works.

• Prepare and revise architectural, structural, and civil drawings as per project requirements.

• Develop MEP drawings, including HVAC, electrical, lighting, power, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, and other related services.

• Prepare layouts, sections, elevations, details, and installation drawings.

• Interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings and identify potential clashes or discrepancies.

• Coordinate with Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, and site engineering teams.

• Prepare As-Built Drawings according to actual site conditions.

• Revise drawings based on site instructions, consultant comments, and design changes.

• Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, applicable codes, and approved standards.

• Maintain proper documentation, drawing registers, revisions, and submission records.

• Assist engineers and project managers in resolving technical drawing issues.

• Ensure accuracy, quality, and timely delivery of all assigned drawings.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Diploma of Associate Engineer (DAE) in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering; relevant technical qualifications will also be considered.

• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in Civil and MEP drafting.

• Strong command of AutoCAD 2D is mandatory.

• Practical experience in preparing both Civil and MEP shop drawings.

• Good understanding of HVAC, electrical layouts, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, and civil construction drawings.

• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and engineering drawings.

• Knowledge of construction methods, technical detailing, and drawing standards.

• Experience in preparing As-Built Drawings and coordinating with site teams.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Revit MEP, Revit Architecture, or other relevant drafting software will be an advantage.

• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and time management.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple drawing assignments.

• Good communication and coordination skills.

Preferred Candidate: A technically strong professional with excellent command of both Civil and MEP drafting, practical site knowledge, and the ability to prepare accurate drawings with minimal supervision.
