Position

Architectural Draftsman – Interior Design  

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed interior design drawings, layouts, elevations, sections, and construction details based on design concepts and project requirements.
• Develop detailed drawings for partitions, ceilings, flooring, wall finishes, joinery, furniture, and other interior elements.
• Translate interior design concepts and sketches into accurate, coordinated technical drawings suitable for execution on site.
• Coordinate with interior designers, architects, engineers, project managers, and other relevant teams to resolve drawing and design interface issues.
• Review drawings, dimensions, material specifications, and schedules to ensure consistency and completeness.
• Ensure drawings comply with project requirements, design intent, applicable standards, and established drafting and quality procedures.
• Incorporate site measurements, survey information, and design revisions into drawings where required.
• Prepare and update working drawings, detail drawings, material/finish schedules, and quantity take-offs where required.
• Identify discrepancies, dimensional conflicts, and constructability issues, and coordinate practical resolutions with the design team.
• Maintain organized drawing files and revision records, and coordinate timely issue of drawings to support project schedules.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Drafting, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in architectural drafting, preferably with a strong focus on interior design and construction documentation.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is required; experience with Revit, SketchUp, or other relevant design and drafting tools is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of interior detailing, dimensions, materials, joinery, and construction drawing conventions, with good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work accurately, manage drawing revisions, and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced project environment.
