About the role

Sediacom Sdn Bhd is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Draftsman to join our project team. This is a full-time position based in Melaka, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to architectural drafting projects that shape our built environment. As a Draftsman, you will play a crucial role in translating architectural concepts into precise technical drawings and documentation that form the foundation of our design and construction processes. This position is essential to ensuring accuracy, clarity, and compliance with industry standards across all our projects.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare and update AutoCAD drawings for HDD, underground cabling and ducting works.
• Prepare accurate as-built drawings based on actual site measurements, site records and information provided by the project team.
• Update construction drawings according to site changes and completed works.
• Prepare HDD routes, cable routes, duct routes, chamber locations and other project drawings.
• Coordinate with Project Engineers, Project Supervisors and site teams to obtain accurate site information.
• Maintain proper drawing revisions and document records.
• Prepare drawings and documentation for project submission and handover.
• Perform other drafting duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Certificate / Diploma in CAD Drafting, Civil Engineering, Construction or related field.
• Minimum 1–3 years of relevant drafting experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD.
• Experience in preparing as-built drawings is preferred.
• Experience in HDD, underground utilities, cabling or telecommunications projects will be an advantage.
• Able to read and understand construction drawings.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organisational and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and meet project deadlines.
