Draftsman

1. CAD & BIM Drafting

   • Prepare detailed 2D and 3D Shop Drawings for Fire Fighting (Sprinklers, Standpipes, Hose Reels, Fire Pumps) and Fire Alarm systems (Detectors, Control Panels, Notification Devices).
   • Create routing and schematic layouts for gas suppression systems (FM200, Novec 1230, CO2) and emergency lighting systems.
   • Develop As-Built Drawings following project completion to reflect on-site installations accurately.

2. Civil Defense Compliance & Approval Submissions

   • Format drawings to meet UAE Civil Defense (DCD / ADCD / MCD) standards for plan review and approvals.
   • Implement guidelines from the UAE Fire and Life Safety Code of Practice and international standards like NFPA (NFPA 13, 14, 20, 72).

3. Coordination & Spatial Resolution

   • Perform coordination across MEP disciplines (HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Structural) to resolve clashes prior to site execution.
   • Coordinate pipe routing, valve locations, pump room detail elevations, and riser diagrams with project engineers.

4. BOQ & Technical Documentation

   • Assist engineers in preparing Bill of Quantities (BOQ), pipe sizing schedules, and valve counts directly from drawings.
   • Maintain organized drawing registers, revisions, and document control logs for project submissions.

Desired Candidate Profile

• A minimum of an Associate Degree in Drafting, Architecture, or a related field, with preference for Bachelor's Degree holders.
• 3-5 years of experience in drafting within the construction or engineering industry, showcasing a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD or Revit, with additional certifications preferred to enhance technical credibility.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering plans, ensuring accurate translations into drafts.
