Draftsman - Electrical

Duties and Responsibilities of an Electrical Draftsman

• Prepare Electrical Drawings and Schematics
• Create detailed electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, circuit layouts, and panel schedules using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or EPLAN).
• Collaborate with Engineers and Designers
• Work closely with electrical engineers to understand project requirements, technical specifications, and design changes.
• Update and Revise Drawings
• Modify existing drawings based on engineering mark-ups, site feedback, or client revisions.
• Ensure Compliance with Standards
• Adhere to national and international electrical standards (e.g., NEC, IEC) and company-specific drafting guidelines.
• Coordinate with Other Disciplines
• Ensure compatibility between electrical layouts and other services such as mechanical, plumbing, and structural components.
• Support Project Documentation
• Assist in preparing as-built drawings, documentation packages, and reports for handover or regulatory submission.
• Maintain Drawing Revisions and File Management
• Track revisions and maintain organized records of drawing files, backups, and version history.
• Perform Site Visits (if required)
• Visit project sites to take measurements, verify existing conditions, or coordinate changes with on-site teams.
• Assist in Material Take-offs
• Help engineers or procurement teams in preparing Bills of Quantities (BoQs) and material lists based on electrical drawings.
• Participate in Quality Assurance
• Conduct self-checks or peer reviews to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality of drawings.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED3,500.00 per month
