Draftsman (Infrastructure)

We are looking for an experienced Draftsman – Infrastructure with a strong background in construction and contracting companies. The candidate will be responsible for preparing, modifying, and maintaining detailed engineering drawings for infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, engineering standards, and approved designs.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and revise detailed infrastructure drawings using AutoCAD and other relevant drafting software.
• Develop drawings for roads, utilities, drainage, sewerage, stormwater networks, water supply, and other infrastructure works.
• Prepare layouts, sections, profiles, cross-sections, shop drawings, and as-built drawings.
• Coordinate with civil engineers, site engineers, surveyors, consultants, and project teams to ensure drawing accuracy.
• Review IFC (Issued for Construction) drawings, shop drawings, and approved design drawings.
• Incorporate comments and revisions from consultants, clients, and project engineers.
• Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, applicable standards, and authority requirements.
• Assist site teams by providing updated drawings and resolving drawing-related technical queries.
• Maintain proper records of drawings, revisions, transmittals, and document control.
• Prepare red-line markups and update as-built drawings based on actual site conditions.
• Support quantity take-offs and other technical documentation when required.
• Ensure timely submission of drawings in accordance with project schedules.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Drafting, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as an Infrastructure Draftsman in the UAE or GCC.
• Candidates currently working with construction and contracting companies, particularly on infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience in roads, wet utilities, dry utilities, drainage, sewerage, and stormwater infrastructure drawings.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Civil 3D is an advantage.
• Good understanding of engineering drawings, construction details, levels, coordinates, and site requirements.
• Experience preparing shop drawings, as-built drawings, and construction drawings.
• Familiarity with UAE infrastructure standards and relevant authority requirements is preferred.
