Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Steel Structure Draftsman with strong knowledge of steel fabrication drawings and Autodesk Inventor. The candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed fabrication and assembly drawings for steel structures, ensuring accuracy, manufacturability, and compliance with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed steel structure fabrication and assembly drawings using Autodesk Inventor.
• Develop 3D models, shop drawings, GA drawings, part drawings, and fabrication details.
• Prepare cutting lists, BOMs (Bill of Materials), material take-offs, and assembly details.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and structural designs.
• Ensure correct dimensions, tolerances, weld details, bolt connections, and material specifications.
• Coordinate with engineers, production, fabrication, and site teams to resolve drawing-related issues.
• Modify drawings based on engineering changes and fabrication requirements.
• Ensure drawings are suitable for CNC cutting, drilling, welding, and workshop fabrication.
• Maintain proper drawing standards, revisions, and documentation.
• Conduct drawing checks to minimize fabrication errors and material wastage.

Required Skills

• Strong proficiency in Autodesk Inventor.
• Good knowledge of steel structure fabrication and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to create accurate 3D models and 2D fabrication drawings.
• Knowledge of welding symbols, bolted connections, steel sections, plates, and fabrication methods.
• Ability to read and understand engineering and structural drawings.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage.
• Familiarity with BOMs, material take-offs, and shop/fabrication drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines.

Education & Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil/Structural Engineering, or Drafting.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in steel structure fabrication drafting.
• Experience in a steel fabrication/manufacturing environment is preferred.

Preferred Candidate

Candidates with practical experience in steel fabrication, structural detailing, Autodesk Inventor 3D modeling, and workshop production drawings will be given preference.

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
