Draftsperson

MP Design & Architecture is a busy architecture firm of 10 talented draftspersons dedicated to bringing innovative designs to life. We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Draftsperson to join our architecture team who specializes in Residential Projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and revise architectural drawings, plans, elevations, sections, details, and construction documents.
• Develop drawings based on sketches, design concepts, field measurements, and architect direction.
• Assist architects with design development and documentation from schematic design through construction administration.
• Produce accurate and well-coordinated drawings in accordance with project requirements and applicable building codes.
• Incorporate revisions and maintain organized drawing sets.
• Coordinate architectural drawings with structural, mechanical, electrical, and other consultant information.
• Assist with site measurements, existing-condition documentation, and field verification as needed.
• Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
• Communicate effectively with architects, consultants, contractors, and other project team members.

Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of professional architectural experience.
• Degree, certificate, or relevant training in architecture, drafting, architectural technology, or a related field preferred.
• Familiarity with building codes and construction methods.
• Strong knowledge of architectural design, construction documents, and building codes.
• Proficiency AutoCAD 2D and SketchUp (we do NOT use Revit).
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Must live within 15 miles of West Palm Beach, Florida.

A note on the pace: Flexibility on working in evenings (overtime) will be necessary on occasion.
