Drain Technician

No experience required. Experienced drain cleaners welcome.

Saturday to Tuesday, 4 x 10 hour shifts.

Days Off - Wednesday, Thursday and Friday every week.

The Job

We are starting a Weekend Crew and we are hiring two people to work it. You do not need to have cleaned a drain in your life. We will teach you the trade from the ground up until you can run calls on your own. Once you are signed off, you work Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, 10 hours a day, and you are off Wednesday through Friday every single week. No rotation, same schedule every week.

This is a full-time trade job with a real career behind it. You will learn to clear everything from a kitchen sink to a main sewer line, run a sewer camera, and tell the customer straight what you found.

Who We Are Looking For

We are accepting every application for this role. We can teach anyone the trade. We cannot teach the rest, so here is what we are hiring for:

• A good person. You treat people right because that is who you are, not because someone is watching.

• Nice to work with. You will spend 10-hour days working with office staff, team lead, service manager and plumbers. They should be glad you showed up.

• You care about people. The customer standing in a flooded basement is having a bad day. You make it better.

• You take pride in your work. You are not done when the drain is open. You are done when you would put your name on it.

• You own your mistakes. Everyone makes them. We want the person who says it out loud, fixes it and learns from it, not the one who hides it.

• You show up. The weekend board only works if both techs are there on time, every time.

• Valid driver's license and a record clean enough to drive a company van.

No drain experience is required. No plumbing experience is required. Hard work and the right attitude are.

Good. We want you too. If you have real drain cleaning experience and this schedule fits your life, or you just want the extra 2%, apply. Here is the deal for an experienced tech:

• You start at the 15% experienced base rate, plus the 2% Weekend Crew differential. That is 17% before any bonus. A day tech with your same experience is at 15%.

• Your training is short. Ride with us long enough to learn how RTSR does it, get signed off, and you are on the crew.

• You are the experienced one on a two-tech crew, and that counts for something here. Our Weekend Duty Lead seat is a stepping stone to team lead, and weekend crew techs who want to lead get a look first.

• Same path to days, same job security, same three weekdays off.

Same panel interview, same traits we are hiring for. Experience gets you a higher rate. It does not get you out of being a good person.

Schedule

Full time 40-45 hours a week. Saturday through Tuesday, four 10 hour shifts.

Pay

Starting Commission 13-17%, Plus bonuses based on performance metrics.
