Drainage Engineer Role Overview

We are looking to expand our reactive maintenance team by hiring Drainage Engineers based in the London, Streatham area. As part of our emergency response team, you will be providing an essential reactive service to our commercial customers in the Southeast and London.

No two days will be the same: you will have to respond to changing events and solve problems in real time. You will be fixing external and internal blockages and breakdowns, keeping in touch with our 24-hour help desk team, and making recommendations for further works where necessary. The role will offer meaningful opportunities for learning and career progression.

Candidates must have a drainage background and we strongly favour candidates with at least 2 years experience in the drainage sector. Our clients properties also require a good grounding in plumbing, so we would like candidates to have at least 2 years' plumbing experience. The successful candidate will possess a can-do attitude and a willingness to develop, along with good communication skills, initiative and the ability to work well as part of a team.

Role basics

• Being part of the on-call rota
• Ability to travel periodically to/from MSJ's Head Office, situated in Streatham
• Hold a current clean full UK driving licence

Experience:

• Plumbing: 2 years (Required)
• Drainage CCTV camera: 1 year (Preferred)
• Groundworks: 1 year (Preferred)
• Drainage: 2 years (Required)

• Clean UK driving (Required)
