Drainage Engineer - full time

Suddenstrike Limited is a family run business, founded in 1997, based in Nantwich, Cheshire.

We currently have a vacancy for an experienced drainage engineer to join our drainage team, to carry out drainage works throughout Cheshire and surrounding areas.

This position is long-term career opportunity, for a self-motivated, enthusiastic person and will involve resolving day to day drainage issues, operating a remote control Rioned van pack jetting unit, carrying out CCTV drainage surveys using a Mini-Cam Solo Pro+ with WinCan software, undertaking and identifying minor external remedial works, identifying and resolving faults on septic and treatment plants at both residential and commercial sites.

Duties Include

• Clearing Blockages, including toilets, sinks, hand basins, urinals, baths, saniflo units, grease traps, manholes & main drains.
• Carry out and complete CCTV drain surveys, producing wincan reports and plotting accurate drainage maps.
• Previous experience in external excavated drain repairs, patch / drain lining.
• Assisting in Vacuum tank services.
• Identifying & resolving faults on septic & treatment plants
• Planned Preventative Maintenance Programs (PPMS)
• The successful candidate will be required to manage an existing client base, whilst actively seeking out new customers.

Key Skills

• Minimum of 3 years previous experience in the drainage industry.
• Previous experience unblocking drains with a van pack
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Certification to carry out High pressure water jetting
• Possess a good understanding of onsite health and safety, CSCS certification would be beneficial.
• Confident n using IT, including a tablet based job reporting system.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Able to work flexible hours when required.

• The starting salary is £15.50 per hour upwards depending on experience.
