WE'RE HIRING: DRAINAGE ENGINEER Location: United Kingdom Job Type: Full-Time Industry: Construction / Civil Engineering Experience: Previous experience in drainage and civil engineering required Job Overview We are looking for an experienced and reliable Drainage Engineer to join our team in the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, supervising, and inspecting drainage systems across construction projects, ensuring all work meets the required technical specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities - Design and oversee the installation of surface water and foul water drainage systems. - Review drainage drawings, technical specifications, and construction plans. - Conduct site inspections and assess existing drainage systems. - Ensure drainage works comply with approved designs and project specifications. - Coordinate with site managers, civil engineers, contractors, and project teams. - Identify and resolve drainage-related technical issues. - Monitor the quality and progress of drainage installation works. - Ensure compliance with relevant UK regulations, health and safety requirements, and environmental standards. - Prepare technical reports, inspection records, and project documentation. - Assist with drainage surveys, site investigations, and project planning. Requirements - Previous experience as a Drainage Engineer or in a similar civil engineering role. - Knowledge of foul water, surface water, and stormwater drainage systems. - Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and drainage layouts. - Understanding of UK drainage standards and construction practices. - Strong technical, problem-solving, and communication skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - A relevant qualification in Civil Engineering or a related field is preferred.
