Drainage Labourer

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Labourer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting drainage, waterlines and septic projects by assisting with excavation, installation, maintenance, and repair services. If you can operate a mini excavator will be a big asset we are also willing to train the right applicant.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in equipment operation and utilizing many different tools. You will work alongside a lead and must be easy to get along with and willing to do tasks ranging from basic labour to piping installations.

Must have a valid drivers licence, be presentable and willing to work in all weather. Wage will be based on experience with room to advance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with excavation tasks using heavy machinery such as excavators and underground drainage systems.
• Support the installation, repair, and maintenance of drainage, water lines and septic systems ensuring all work complies with safety standards and project specifications.
• Operate power tools and hand tools effectively for cutting, digging, and assembly tasks related to drainage systems.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment including excavators, bucket trucks, and other heavy machinery to ensure proper functioning.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical knowledge with an interest in developing skills
• Experience operating excavators or similar machinery is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and rigging procedures.
• Strong commitment to safety procedures and teamwork in a physically demanding environment.
• Previous experience in construction or drainage projects is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for motivated candidates.

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
