About the role

Link-Force Au is seeking an experienced Drainer to join our team on a casual basis. This position is based in Perth, WA 6000 and involves operating specialised drainage equipment and machinery on construction and civil works projects. As a Drainer, you will play a crucial role in managing water removal and drainage systems on site, ensuring safe and efficient project operations.

What you'll be doing

• Operating and maintaining drainage machinery and equipment on construction and civil engineering sites
• Setting up and monitoring drainage systems to manage water removal from excavations and work areas
• Conducting pre-start safety checks on all equipment before use
• Ensuring drainage operations comply with health and safety regulations and site requirements
• Communicating with site supervisors and other team members to coordinate drainage activities
• Maintaining accurate records of drainage operations and equipment usage
• Responding promptly to changes in site conditions and adjusting drainage systems as needed
• Performing routine maintenance and minor repairs on drainage equipment

What we're looking for

• Proven experience operating drainage machinery and equipment in construction or civil works environments

• Current and valid operator's licence and relevant certifications for plant and machinery operation

• Strong understanding of health and safety protocols specific to drainage operations

• Ability to read and interpret site plans and drainage specifications

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with site teams

• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining equipment in good working order

• Must have construction, subdivision, residential & commercial background

• Casual employment with full-time hours, ongoing consistent work

• Rate $60-65 per hour plus Super

• Vehicle will be provided
