Drainlayer

We’re looking for an experienced Drainlayer to join our Tauranga team, working across a range of Civil and Drainage projects in the Bay of Plenty.

Your Key Impact

In this role, you’ll play a key part in delivering three waters and deep drainage works across our Bay of Plenty projects. You’ll use your experience to lead a small drainage crew and ensure work is completed safely, accurately and to specification.

What you’ll be doing

• Installing sewer, stormwater and water reticulation pipelines across a range of deep drainage environments
• Reading drawings, setting out pipelines from survey pegs and using pipe lasers, laser levels and dumpy levels
• Working hands-on in the trench, including laying pipes, checking levels, backfilling, compaction and testing
• Installing concrete, PE and PVC pipelines, along with concrete manholes from set-out through to completion
• Leading a small drainage crew and ensuring work meets safety, environmental, quality and compliance requirements

What you’ll bring

Key requirements:

• Registered Drainlayer (or ability to gain certification through the PGDB)
• Proven experience across three waters, including sewer, stormwater drainage and water reticulation
• Strong deep drainage experience, including trench shields, dewatering and benching
• Ability to independently read drawings
• Hands-on experience installing pipelines and concrete manholes
• A practical, self-starting approach with the ability to lead a crew of three to four people
• Full NZ Class 1 Driver Licence

Preferred:

• Certified Drainlayer
• Class 2 Drivers Licence
• WTR Endorsements
