About the role

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Draughtman to join our Engineering team on a full-time basis in Balakong, Selangor. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings and designs for our kitchen equipment products. As a Draughtsman, you will play a critical part in translating engineering concepts into accurate, manufacturable designs that form the foundation of our production process. This position is essential to ensuring our products are produced to the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Produce detailed technical drawings and specifications for kitchen equipment components and assemblies using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software
• Convert engineering sketches, notes, and verbal instructions from senior engineers into comprehensive, accurate drawings
• Ensure all drawings comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and company specifications
• Revise and update drawings based on feedback from engineers, production teams, and quality assurance personnel
• Prepare bills of materials (BOMs) and other technical documentation to support manufacturing processes
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve design-related issues and optimise manufacturability
• Maintain organised digital filing systems and version control for all technical drawings and documentation
• Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to drafting standards before release to production
• Assist with the development of assembly and installation guides for customers
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance design efficiency and clarity

What we're looking for

• Diploma or degree in Engineering Drafting, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field
• Proficiency in CAD software (such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent), with demonstrated expertise in creating 2D and 3D drawings
• Strong understanding of engineering drawing standards, tolerances, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
• Proven experience in producing technical drawings for manufacturing environments, preferably in the kitchen equipment, construction or related industries
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work accurately under tight deadlines
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and production constraints to ensure designs are practical and cost-effective
• Ability to read and interpret engineering specifications and technical documentation
• Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving design issues
• Familiarity with MS Office applications and the ability to learn new software systems quickly
