Draughtsman

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Draughtsman to join our dynamic and growing team in cape town and Johannesburg. The ideal candidate is passionate about precision, design, and technical excellence, with the ability to transform engineering and architectural concepts into accurate, high-quality technical drawings.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce detailed, accurate technical drawings, schematics, and plans using AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar CAD software, based on engineer, architect, or designer specifications
• Interpret and convert blueprints, sketches, and 3D models into precise 2D and 3D technical drawings
• Collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and project teams to ensure design accuracy and project alignment
• Review and refine drawings to ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and project requirements
• Revise and update designs based on feedback, design changes, and project developments
• Maintain a well-organised and accurate filing system for all drawings and technical documentation
• Apply engineering and mathematical principles to ensure precision in all design outputs
• Stay current with the latest CAD technologies, drafting techniques, and industry best practices
• Support the preparation of project documentation, proposals, and technical reports
• Deliver all work within deadlines while maintaining exceptional quality and attention to detail

Requirements

• 1–2 years proven experience as a Draughtsman or CAD Technician
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar CAD software
• Strong understanding of drafting principles, standards, and technical conventions
• Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics
• Solid foundation in mathematics and engineering principles related to drafting
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently as well as within a collaborative team environment
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
