Job Description – Commercial Kitchen Drafter / Design Executive

Key Responsibilities

• Handle complex commercial F&B kitchen design and drafting assignments with minimal supervision.
• Prepare accurate 2D drawings, 3D models and technical layouts based on written and verbal specifications provided by the Sales and Project teams.
• Develop commercial kitchen layouts incorporating kitchen equipment, stainless-steel fabrication, ventilation, gas, electrical, plumbing and drainage requirements.
• Ensure all assigned projects are completed within the agreed scope, budget and schedule.
• Maintain proper records and revision control for all project drawings and documents.
• Develop design concepts, prototypes and detailed technical drawings.
• Review engineering and technical drawings to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety requirements and relevant regulations.
• Coordinate with Sales, Project, Production and Installation teams to resolve design and technical issues.
• Provide timely technical assistance and practical solutions throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct site measurements and site verification when required.

Requirements

• Professional Certificate, Nitec, Higher Nitec or Diploma in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering Drafting or an equivalent qualification.
• At least two years of relevant working experience in commercial kitchen design, architectural drafting, interior design or a related field.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of 2D/3D modelling, Revit or BIM software would be an advantage.
• Able to interpret architectural, M&E and technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail with good planning and problem-solving abilities.
• Able to work independently and coordinate effectively with different departments.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to communicate in Mandarin is advantageous for liaising with Mandarin-speaking customers, suppliers and contractors.
