Draughtsperson

Job Descriptions:

• Produce accurate and detailed architectural and structural drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, and details using CAD software such as Tekla Structures.
• Prepare steel structure fabrication drawings and shop drawings for production and construction.
• Perform material weight calculations and prepare material take-off lists for project planning and procurement.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and project teams to interpret design concepts and convert them into technical drawings.
• Review drawings and coordinate with the production/fabrication team to ensure accurate execution of designs.
• Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, technical standards, and relevant authority requirements.
• Identify and highlight potential design issues or drawing discrepancies and assist in resolving them.
• Stay updated with industry standards, drafting practices, and steel structure detailing requirements.
• Assist the immediate superior with new product designs, drawing revisions, and sample preparation.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the superior or Head of Department (HOD) as needed.

Job Requirements:

• Must possess at least a Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or any related field.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in related field.
• Familiar with local building codes, regulations, and construction standards.
• Proficient in Tekla Structures, AutoCAD, or other CAD software.
• Strong command of Bahasa Malaysia and English; proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with the design and project teams.
