About the role

FCC Consulting Engineer Sdn Bhd is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Draughtwomen to join our mechanical engineering team on a full-time basis. Based in Desa Petaling, Kuala Lumpur, this role is integral to our design and documentation processes. You will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings and specifications that translate engineering concepts into actionable manufacturing and construction plans. This position plays a crucial part in ensuring the accuracy, clarity and professionalism of our technical deliverables to clients across various engineering projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed technical drawings, plans and specifications using computer-aided design (CAD) software in accordance with relevant engineering standards and client requirements
• Convert sketches, notes and verbal instructions from engineers and architects into accurate, comprehensive technical drawings
• Ensure all drawings are dimensioned correctly and contain all necessary details required for manufacturing, construction or installation
• Review drawings for accuracy, completeness and compliance with industry standards, codes and regulations
• Maintain and update drawing files, ensuring proper version control and documentation
• Ensure drawings are appropriately filed and archived for future reference and compliance purposes

What we're looking for

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Technical Drawing or a related discipline
• Proven experience as a draughtswoman or technical draughtsperson in mechanical engineering projects, ideally 2-4 years
• Advanced proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar applications)
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, manufacturing processes and technical drawing standards
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate and precise drawings
• Strong mathematical and spatial reasoning skills
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
• Time management skills with the ability to meet project deadlines
• Familiarity with Malaysia's engineering standards and building codes is advantageous
• Knowledge of 3D modelling and rendering is preferred
