Driller / HGV Driver – Ground Engineering

GEOSEC is a specialist ground engineering company delivering solutions to improve and stabilise buildings and infrastructure. We are looking for a reliable Driller / HGV Driver to join our UK operations team.

The role

This is a hands-on operational role combining HGV driving with the execution of ground engineering works. You will drive the company vehicle to project sites and operate drilling and injection equipment to consolidate the ground beneath building foundations.

You will work as part of a site team, following the project design, method statements and health and safety procedures. The role involves travel to sites across the UK and overnight stays away from home. Occasional Saturday work may be required depending on project needs.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the company’s HGV to and from project sites.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
• Set up and operate drilling equipment to prepare injection points beneath foundations.
• Carry out ground consolidation injection works in accordance with the project requirements and technical instructions.
• Monitor the work and promptly report any issues or unexpected ground conditions to the site supervisor.
• Maintain and clean the drilling, injection and other site equipment.
• Follow RAMS, site procedures and health and safety requirements.
• Complete the required site, production and vehicle records.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and communicate clearly with the site team.

What we’re looking for

• A valid UK HGV licence
• Driver CPC and digital tachograph card
• A practical, safety-conscious approach to driving and construction work.
• Willingness to travel and stay away overnight when required.
• Reliability and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Drilling, injection, construction or ground engineering experience would be an advantage.

Pay: £40,000.00 per year
