Driller's Helper

Overview

Entry level drilling helper - Geotech and/or Environmental (Mount Laurel, NJ)
We need to add an entry-level drilling helper to our team. Our multi-drill rig company performs about 60% environmental drilling services and about 40% geotechnical services. We will train the right candidate. This position requires outdoor labor. Previous experience in any of the following methods is a plus: Geoprobe, monitoring wells, sonic, rock-coring, mud-rotary or ODEX. HOWEVER, PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IS NOT REQUIRED.

Must have a clean driving record. The position requires a reliable and hard working person. Good Attendance record, willingness to work hard and be able to lift 60lbs.
You must have reliable means to arrive at the office for early morning start, some long work shifts occur.

We offer medical and dental insurance after 90 days; 401K after 1 year.
There are also experienced driller openings available at a higher starting rate.

Duties

• Assist drillers with setting up and operating drilling equipment and other construction equipment
• Help with the maintenance and inspection of drilling equipment machinery to ensure optimal safety and performance
• Aid in utility locating tasks to identify underground utilities before excavation begins
• Transport construction materials and equipment using commercial trucks or utility vehicles following all safety regulations.
• Follow federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures diligently during all on-site activities
• Perform general labor tasks including site cleanup, material handling, and assisting with equipment setup or breakdown

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
