Job Summary

Load Bearing Wall Company is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Driver / 3D Scan Technician to join our growing residential structural engineering and construction team.

This hands-on position combines driving, 3D scanning, field measurements, and project documentation. You'll transport engineers to residential site visits throughout the Twin Cities metro area, assist with scanning and documenting existing structures, and help coordinate the drafting workflow.

We're looking for someone who enjoys being in the field, takes pride in accurate work, and is comfortable learning new technology. Experience with AutoCAD, SketchUp, or residential construction is a plus, but not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely drive engineers and team members to and from residential site visits throughout the Twin Cities metro area.
• Operate 3D LiDAR scanning equipment to capture existing structural conditions.
• Assist with field measurements, photographs, and documentation during site visits.
• Organize scan data, measurements, photographs, and project files.
• Coordinate with engineers and drafters to ensure accurate information is available for engineering designs.
• Assist with reviewing drawings and verifying field measurements as needed.
• Maintain company vehicles, scanning equipment, and other field technology.
• Communicate professionally with homeowners and team members.
• Help keep site visits and drafting projects organized and on schedule.

Required Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
• Comfortable driving throughout the Twin Cities metro area on a daily basis.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Dependable, punctual, and professional.
• Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new technology.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Comfortable working in residential environments and interacting with homeowners.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AutoCAD, SketchUp, or other drafting software.
• Familiarity with residential construction or structural components.
• Experience with LiDAR scanning, 3D scanning, or field measurement technology.
• Interest in architectural drafting, engineering, or construction technology.

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive annual salary of $50,000–$65,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
• 23 total paid days off annually, including company-observed paid holidays that fall Monday through Friday.
