Job Overview

Flex Equipment Sales and Services (FESS) is seeking a motivated, dependable, and highly professional Driver to join our California dealership team. This role serves as a vital link in our logistics, lot management, and customer service chain. In addition to transporting our premium Air-tow trailers, you will be responsible for ensuring our inventory is immaculately maintained, organized, and thoroughly inspected. You will handle everything from moving and organizing trailers on the lot to performing detailed Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs) and detailing units for customer pickup.

Key Responsibilities

Dealership Logistics: Transport Air-tow trailers from the manufacturing facility directly to the FESS dealership lot, keeping our inventory optimized.

Final Customer Delivery: Execute the delivery, pick up, or transfer of finished trailers to various customer locations with a high level of customer service.

Customer Training: Train end users on safety and operation of various trailers.

Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs) & Maintenance: Perform comprehensive PDIs to ensure trailers meet all functional and quality standards before handover. Conduct rigorous pre- and post-trip inspections for all deliveries.

Detailing & Presentation: Clean and detail trailers thoroughly to ensure they are in pristine condition for display and customer delivery.

Lot Organization: Safely move and organize trailers across the dealership lot to maintain a clean, efficient, and professional layout.

Loading & Securement: Utilize forklift skills to load trailers efficiently, stack products for optimal balance, and utilize professional tie-down techniques to guarantee absolute load integrity. Properly secure bumper-pull and gooseneck trailers before delivery. Moving, positioning, and reversing trailers in tight or uneven outdoor spaces.

Regulatory Compliance: Strictly adhere to all California-specific transportation laws, DOT regulations, and commercial dealership transit requirements.

Qualifications and Requirements

Licensing: Must possess and maintain a current, valid California Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.

Compliance: Ability to successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check and remain fully compliant with California laws regarding commercial dealership transport.

Insurance: Must carry a minimum of $500,000 in personal liability insurance.

Expert Hauler: Proven experience in commercial driving, handling trucks with trailers, and navigating diverse delivery environments safely. Experience with gooseneck and bumper – pull trailers preferred but not required.

Skills: Proficiency in trailer inspection protocols, professional load tie-down techniques, forklift operation, and basic detailing or maintenance practices.

Mechanic/Service Experience: Prior mechanic or service experience preferred but not required.

Independent & Reliable: Capable of self-managing a busy schedule, maintaining high attention to detail on the lot, and contributing to the FESS team flow.

Pay: $26.00 - $29.00 per hour

Experience:

• Mechanical knowledge: 1 year (Preferred)
