This is a varied, hands-on role combining UK-wide driving, carrying out customer collections and warehouse processing at our warehouse in Middlewich.
You’ll collect unwanted IT equipment from businesses, schools, charities and other organisations across the UK, before helping to process and prepare equipment for reuse, resale or recycling.
Your working week will be split between being on the road driving and working within our warehouse.
Your responsibilities will include:

- Collecting IT equipment from customer sites
- Loading and unloading equipment safely
- Handling PCs, laptops, monitors, printers, servers, network equipment and other IT equipment
- Representing FLP professionally when dealing with customers
- Completing collection paperwork and following company procedures
- Scanning and tracking equipment
- Ensuring equipment is transported safely back to our warehouse
- Occasional overnight stays may be required for longer-distance collections
When you’re not out collecting, you’ll work as part of our processing team.
This can include:
- Receiving and processing incoming IT equipment
- Sorting and identifying different types of equipment
- Testing and assessing IT equipment
- Checking equipment and identifying faults

- Preparing equipment for recycling where required
- General warehouse duties
The role involves regular lifting, moving and handling of IT equipment, including larger and heavier items.
We’re looking for someone who is:
- A confident and responsible driver
- Comfortable driving longer distances throughout the UK
- Reliable, punctual and organised
- Comfortable with manual handling
- Professional and friendly when dealing with customers
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Practical and hands-on
- Interested in IT, technology and electronics
- Willing to learn and develop their IT knowledge
- Happy to get involved and help wherever needed
Previous experience in IT, IT recycling, IT equipment processing, warehouse work, logistics or a similar environment would be an advantage, but is not essential as training will be provided.
You’ll be involved in the wider IT Recycling process, from collecting equipment from customers across the UK through to processing, testing, data destruction, reuse and recycling at our facility.
Every day can be different, with opportunities to learn more about IT equipment, data security, data destruction and the wider IT industry.
