Driver CLD A or CLD B

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting Delivering and picking up temporary dumpsters rented out to customers in a variety of cities within LA County. You will be dispatched to deliver empty dumpsters from our facility to the customer’s job site on a date of the customer’s choosing. You will bring the filled dumpster either with unprocessed trash, dirt or concrete to our facility so we can process the material. You will also transport carboard wood, green waste and other recyclables (excluding inserts) in a source separated dumpster to selected recycling facilities straight from our main facility. Your expertise will help keep our supply chain moving smoothly and reliably.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate commercial trucks with manual transmission across designated cities, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
• Load and unload freight using proper manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo safety and security during transit.
• Navigate efficiently using GPS systems to follow optimal delivery routes while adjusting for traffic or road conditions.
• Driver must be able to climb up and down approximately 6 ft of ladder to put the tarp onto the container and must be able to get on and off truck (3 ft high) multiple times per day.
• Maintain accurate documentation: by completing any paperwork related to the deliveries and completing reports as requiredfor each trip, including delivery logs, and inspection reports.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before operating the truck.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery schedules, or any incidents encountered on the road.
• Driver will be in his/her truck long periods of time, daily dropping off and picking up of dumpsters and or dropping off other materials such as sand, construction debri etc. to other dump sites and locations.

Qualifications

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for CLD A or CLD B classifications.
• Proven experience in commercial truck driving, delivery driving, or freight transportation.
• Knowledge of truck loading and unloading procedures for various cargo types such as, Super-10 , Roll-Offs and walking floors.
• Familiarity with FMCSA regulations, regulations, and DOT safety standards.
• Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently and safely.
• Must be at least 25 years old with 2 years of expirience with CLA A /B
• Physical ability to handle manual cargo handling tasks safely and efficiently.
• Bilingual REQUIRED: English/ Spanish
• Must pass a drug test and driving test

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 50.0 per week
