Responsibilities

• Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, adhering to all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
• Navigate efficiently using GPS systems to ensure timely deliveries across over-the-road (OTR) routes and local routes.
• Load and unload freight with proper manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo is secured correctly for transport.
• Transport hazardous materials (hazmat) and dangerous goods following hazardous materials regulations and safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, inspections, and delivery documentation in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and report any issues immediately.
• Collaborate with logistics teams to coordinate freight movement, manage route schedules, and optimize delivery efficiency.

Experience

• Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving with a focus on freight transportation.
• Hands-on experience with truck loading and unloading, including manual transmission trucks and tractor-trailers.
• Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbed trucks, tanker trucks, and the transportation of hazardous or dangerous goods.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations related to driver hours of service, vehicle safety standards, and cargo securement.
• Ability to operate GPS navigation systems confidently for route planning across various OTR routes.
• Prior experience in freight logistics cargo handling, automobile transportation, or delivery driver roles is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures related to truck loading/unloading, manual handling, and hazardous materials management.

Pay: $27.29 - $29.25 per hour
