Responsibilities

• Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and other specialized equipment for over-the-road (OTR) routes.
• Navigate using GPS systems to ensure efficient and timely delivery schedules.
• Load and unload freight with proper manual handling techniques, adhering to logistics cargo handling protocols.
• Comply with all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation), hazardous materials regulations, and hazardous goods handling procedures.
• Transport freight securely while ensuring the safe transport of dangerous goods and hazardous materials in accordance with hazardous materials regulations.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure truck safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and cargo manifests in line with FMCSA regulations.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any route or cargo issues promptly.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving across long distances.
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements for tractor-trailers, hazmat, tankers, or flatbeds preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for truck loading/unloading.
• Experience operating refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or specialized transportation equipment is highly desirable.
• Ability to handle manual transmission trucks and perform manual handling tasks safely.
• Strong navigation skills utilizing GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning.
• Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance in accordance with federal and state regulations.

Pay: $25.58 - $30.81 per hour
