In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely transporting freight across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining compliance with all federal and state transportation regulations. Your expertise in commercial truck driving and cargo handling will keep our operations running smoothly while providing excellent service to our clients. Responsibilities

• Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, across over-the-road (OTR) routes.
• Navigate using GPS systems to ensure efficient and timely deliveries while adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
• Load and unload freight, including hazardous materials (hazmat) and dangerous goods, following proper manual handling procedures.
• Transport freight securely, ensuring proper cargo handling for logistics cargo, freight, and specialty loads such as tanker or flatbed shipments.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and compliance documentation in line with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections on trucks and trailers to verify safety standards are met before departure.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route adjustments, delivery schedules, or any issues encountered during transit.

Qualifications

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience in delivery driving and truck loading/unloading operations.
• Familiarity with refrigeration units on refrigerated trailers and GPS navigation systems.
• Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) rules, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for truck driving.
• Ability to handle manual transmission trucks and operate forklift equipment when necessary for cargo handling.
• Experience with route driving involving logistics cargo handling, tractor-trailer operation, and over-the-road (OTR) routes preferred.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures related to hazardous materials and dangerous goods transportation.

Pay: $25.60 - $30.83 per hour
