Duties

• Operate refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or tractor-trailers to transport freight efficiently across over-the-road (OTR) routes.
• Navigate using GPS systems to ensure accurate and timely deliveries while adhering to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
• Load and unload freight safely, including hazardous materials (hazmat) and dangerous goods, following all hazardous materials regulations and safety protocols.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks, trailers, and cargo to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, cargo documentation, and delivery records in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members to coordinate routes and resolve any issues promptly.
• Ensure proper handling of logistics cargo, including manual handling techniques for safe load & unload procedures.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in commercial truck driving, delivery driving, or freight transportation with a focus on route driving.
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to the vehicle type (e.g., hazmat endorsement if applicable).
• Skilled in operating manual transmission vehicles and familiar with truck loading/unloading procedures.
• Knowledge of truck driving regulations including FMCSA, DOT, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards.
• Experience with GPS navigation systems and route planning for efficient deliveries.
• Ability to handle manual handling tasks safely while loading or unloading cargo.
• Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling procedures for various freight types such as refrigerated goods, flatbed loads, or tanker shipments.

Pay: $25.96 - $31.26 per hour
