Driver

Overview

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Driver to join our logistics team, responsible for safely transporting freight and goods across various routes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be an essential part of our supply chain, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Duties

• Operate refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or tractor-trailers to transport freight efficiently across over-the-road (OTR) routes
• Navigate using GPS systems to ensure accurate and timely deliveries while optimizing routes for efficiency
• Load and unload cargo safely, following proper manual handling techniques and logistics cargo handling procedures
• Comply with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, and hazardous materials regulations when transporting dangerous goods or hazardous materials (Hazmat)
• Secure freight properly during transit to prevent damage or accidents, including truck loading and unloading procedures
• Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, logs, and compliance records in accordance with regulatory standards
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure trucks are in optimal condition for safe operation

Qualifications

• Proven experience in delivery driving or truck driving, especially with freight transportation involving refrigerated trailers or flatbeds
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmission is preferred
• Knowledge of truck loading/unloading processes, logistics cargo handling, and route driving best practices
• Familiarity with FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols for dangerous goods transportation
• Ability to operate GPS navigation systems effectively for route planning and adjustments
• Strong manual handling skills for safe load & unload activities; experience with automobile transportation is a plus
• Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, punctuality, and customer service excellence

Pay: $23.99 - $28.89 per hour
