Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Driver to join our dynamic logistics team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers, to ensure timely delivery of freight across diverse routes. Duties

• Safely operate commercial trucks and tractor-trailers on over-the-road (OTR) routes, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
• Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo is secured properly for transport.
• Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules while optimizing fuel consumption.
• Transport hazardous materials (hazmat) and dangerous goods following hazardous materials regulations and safety protocols.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and other specialized equipment.
• Manage logistics cargo handling processes, including loading, securing, and unloading freight such as refrigerated goods or hazardous materials.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle maintenance logs, and compliance documentation in accordance with FMCSA and DOT standards.

Skills

• Proven experience in delivery driving or freight transportation with a focus on truck loading/unloading and route driving.
• Strong knowledge of commercial truck driving techniques, including manual transmission operation and tractor-trailer handling.
• Familiarity with GPS navigation tools for efficient route planning across diverse OTR routes.
• Understanding of hazardous materials regulations and safe handling procedures for dangerous goods.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely when loading or unloading cargo.
• Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record in compliance with FMCSA and DOT regulations.
• Knowledge of logistics cargo handling procedures for various types of freight such as refrigerated goods, flatbed loads, or tanker shipments.

Pay: $24.87 - $29.95 per hour
