Join our dynamic team as a Driver and take charge of delivering freight efficiently and safely across various routes. As a key player in our logistics network, you will operate a variety of commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Your expertise will keep our operations running smoothly while providing excellent service on every delivery.

Duties

• Safely operate commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers across over-the-road (OTR) routes.
• Navigate using GPS systems to ensure timely deliveries while optimizing routes for efficiency.
• Load and unload freight with proper manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo safety and compliance with logistics cargo handling standards.
• Comply with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation), hazardous materials regulations, and other safety protocols related to truck driving and hazardous goods transportation.
• Manage the transportation of hazardous materials (hazmat) and dangerous goods following all safety guidelines.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to maintain truck safety standards; report any mechanical issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Assist with forklift operation when necessary for loading or unloading freight at warehouses or distribution centers.
• Ensure proper securing of loads on flatbeds or roll-off trucks to prevent shifting during transit.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues that arise during transit.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving on OTR routes.
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements for tractor-trailers, hazmat, tanker, or flatbed preferred.
• Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route planning tools.
• Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for truck driving.
• Ability to handle manual transmission vehicles confidently; experience with manual handling equipment like forklifts is a plus.
• Strong understanding of truck loading/unloading procedures and logistics cargo handling techniques.
• Excellent driving record demonstrating safe driving habits over time.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely during load & unload operations.
• Flexibility to adapt to various driving routes including long-distance OTR trips; experience with dump trucks or tanker trucks is advantageous.

Pay: $24.74 - $29.80 per hour
