Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Driver to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, to ensure timely delivery of freight across diverse routes. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, adherence to safety regulations, and commitment to excellent customer service will drive our success. Duties

• Safely operate tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles on over-the-road (OTR) driving routes, adhering strictly to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
• Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques, ensuring proper cargo securing and compliance with hazardous materials regulations when transporting dangerous goods.
• Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules while optimizing fuel consumption and route planning.
• Transport various types of freight, including refrigerated goods, hazardous materials, flatbed loads, and tanker shipments, maintaining the integrity of the cargo throughout transit.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues; document all inspections accurately.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and warehouse personnel regarding delivery times, route changes, or cargo issues.
• Maintain detailed logs of driving hours in compliance with FMCSA regulations and ensure all paperwork related to deliveries is accurately completed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving across long distances.
• Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) with necessary endorsements for hazardous materials (Hazmat), tanker, or refrigerated trailer operation preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols for truck loading/unloading.
• Experience operating manual transmission trucks and equipment such as flatbeds or tankers is highly desirable.
• Strong skills in GPS navigation systems and logistics cargo handling for efficient route execution.
• Ability to manually handle freight safely while adhering to safety standards for dangerous goods when applicable.
• Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance; familiarity with over-the-road (OTR) routes is a plus.

Pay: $25.01 - $30.13 per hour
