Responsibilities

• Safely operate refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and other commercial trucks following FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
• Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules while optimizing fuel usage and route planning.
• Load and unload freight with manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo is secured properly according to safety standards.
• Transport hazardous materials (hazmat) and dangerous goods in compliance with hazardous materials regulations and safety protocols.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, including checking load securement, fluid levels, brakes, tires, and safety equipment.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery status, and any issues encountered during transit.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in commercial truck driving, delivery driving, or freight transportation with a focus on route driving.
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements for hazardous materials (Hazmat), tanker, or other specialized loads as applicable.
• Demonstrated knowledge of truck loading and unloading procedures, including manual handling techniques for cargo handling.
• Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route planning software for efficient OTR routes.
• Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for truck driving.
• Experience operating different types of trucks such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, or refrigerated trailers.
• Ability to handle manual transmission vehicles and perform physical tasks associated with truck loading/unloading.

Pay: $27.61 - $29.64 per hour
